Payments & Policies
A valid credit card is required in order to make a booking. Options for payment are:
Visa or MasterCard
The minimum stay is 2 nights.
Short stays (6 nights or less): Payment in full at time of booking.
Longer stays: Payment of 50% at time of booking, and we will process the balance 60 days before your first booked night. Please read fully our Cancellation/Changes policies below. If we are unable to process the balance 60 days before your first booked night, it may result in forfeiture of the payment and the dates booked.
A one-time $50 housekeeping fee will be added.
Sales Tax: A 15% Harmonised Sales tax must be added to your total.
Cancellations or Changes to Bookings***
Speak to your travel agent or credit card company about trip delay and cancellation insurance prior to your trip.
OUR CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICIES:
- 100% refund, minus a $25 admin fee & any associated credit card charges, if you cancel at least 60 days or more before your first night booked.
- 50% refund, minus any associated credit card charges, if you cancel between 59 and 31 days before your first night booked.
- If you cancel 30 days or less before your first night booked, we are unable to offer any refunds.
- No refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures or no-shows.
- Please understand Shorelark by the Sea is not responsible for any cancelled, delayed, or missed flights or ferries, etc., and therefore cannot offer refunds if your travel plans are, for any reason, interrupted. Talk to your travel agent or credit card company about trip insurance when planning your trip.
MAKING CHANGES TO BOOKINGS:
You must contact us in advance if you wish to make any changes to your booking. Due to other bookings, changes to yours may not be possible. In that case, the cancellation/refund policy above will still apply. NOTE: The maximum occupancy limits (2 persons for each Nest), must be followed; you cannot add additional guests.

Upon booking you will receive some “Nesting Notes” with your e-mailed receipt. Please read them for valuable information about your unit, Petty Harbour, the area, things to do, places of interest, etc.
ShoreLark by the Sea Vacation Rentals reserves the right to refuse requests for accommodation.
ShoreLark by the Sea Vacation Rentals does not rent to persons under 25 years of age.
ShoreLark by the Sea Upper Nest and Lower Nest are each strictly 2 person vacation rentals (that’s 2 people sharing one bed), with parking for one vehicle for each unit. No additional overnight guests are permitted.
Due to the size of the units and, most importantly, in consideration of other guests (and neighbours) there are to be no parties in either unit. This will ensure a peaceful, enjoyable stay for everyone!
No Smoking! If smoking has taken place indoors an additional cleaning fee of $250 will be levied.
No Pets. (Incoming guests may have allergies).
If anything is accidentally broken or damaged please make us aware of it before you check out, so that the guests after you have everything they need. Inventory is taken after guests depart. Missing items and any undisclosed damage will be charged to client credit card. Proprietor will assess damage and make guest aware that a charge will be applied.
Guests are provided with supplies to maintain units in clean and tidy condition and are asked to leave the units in a tidy condition (except for used towels and sheets).
To ensure a comfortable and easy start to your vacation, ShoreLark provides much of what you need to get started, including complimentary coffee/tea/sugar/basic spices as well as linens, toilet paper, and laundry soap. Guests will need to provide anything over and above what has already been supplied (e.g. additional toilet paper, paper towels, soap etc.).
ShoreLark by the Sea Vacation Rentals does not offer pick up and drop off services of guests or backpacks/luggage.
